Where do you turn when you find out you have a mold, lead or asbestos problem? In the largely unregulated abatement industry, Fresh Air Environmental Services stands out for thorough work, competitive pricing, and transparent business practices.

In the remediation business since 1991, Fresh Air’s owner, Kevan Stark, has developed unfailing removal techniques. Unlike many competitors, Fresh Air uses environmental controls, such as plastic sheeting to seal the job site and negative air filtration machines to prevent migration of spores or particles.

Clients we spoke to praised the company for successfully removing all asbestos, lead, mold or bacteria the first time through. In rare instances requiring a return visit, Fresh Air sticks to their bid. “We treat people the way we would want our own family treated,” Kevan affirms.

Kevan understands that it can be overwhelming for people to discover contamination in their homes, and he knows that abatement disrupts their lives: “We work efficiently, so we can turn over the job site to the client as quickly as possible.”

Tip: Always have an asbestos survey done before renovating or remodeling any home built before 1979. You need to test any surfaces that will be disturbed, so you aren’t contaminating your home with asbestos dust.

We had to do an asbestos abatement in the attic. Fresh Air are very good business people. The crew members were very nice—clean with a good attitude. You need contractors to be on time, courteous, pleasant, agree on a number, do the job and get out of your life! They did all that.

Fresh Air is the most professional group. You just can’t imagine—I lost everything in my home when the sewer backed up into my house. They had to take down walls and carpet, and they threw out almost everything. Kevan came out and was so thoughtful. He answered and re-answered my questions. They would go the extra mile to try to sanitize and save what they could. And they were fast. They worked so hard! The insurance company had the lab test the house when they were done and we passed the first time, which is very rare. Kevan gives you a good feeling and you know it’s going to be ok. Who could find a better neighbor than that?

Fresh Air did extensive asbestos abatement in our home. We found asbestos in the floor tiles and in the popcorn ceiling. My daughter is an environmental scientist and she chose Fresh Air after researching three different companies. The crew arrived on time and completed the work early—in a day and a half instead of two. The crew boss was pleasant and professional. As part of the abatement, they did follow up testing—scraped and took the sample to a lab to be sure there was no more asbestos. Every bit had been removed. I highly recommend Fresh Air.

Fresh Air gave the lowest bid and were in and out in less than two days. It was unbelievable. They were good people—friendly and efficient. They came when they said and were clean in the house. Whoever uses them will be happy.

Fresh Air did a lead abatement in a unit I own. They did outstanding work! They passed the inspection the first time no problem. They brought in their punctual, cooperative crew and did everything according to the requirements. Their price was the best. I did a lot of research and talked to a lot of abatement companies. Mike inspected and gave the bid immediately. They got the health department off my back!
